Opening Post

This blog is mainly for my youth leaders. The hope is to challenge us to think biblically about the circumstances and situations our students encounter. May our first reflex be to fall on our knees before the LORD with the Scriptures laid out before us.

The goal is not to critique eachother but to sharpen eachother as we submit ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We may disagree but we will do so in love with the mindset of building eachother up (edify) that we may be mature in Christ.

"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ..." (Ephesians 4).

Monthly I will give a case study or situation that students may find themselves in and we will discuss it at our next YMLT meeting. You are to respond to the situation from Scripture (cite the chapter and verse if possible) and prove your position from the text as if you were sitting with the student explaining to him/her the what's, how's, why's, etc. of the given situation, keeping in mind our church covenant.

Enjoy!!
